Stir up a little magic this month with a Halloween sail aboard the vintage yacht WITCHCRAFT. Set sail on the Patuxent for a festive evening of fall fun and seaside charm. Wear your most spooktacular costume and enjoy a cruise filled with laughter, crisp air, and seasonal spirit. Guests are invited to dress in costume and bring their favorite witches brew and snacks. Charters accommodate a maximum of 6 people, and a minimum of 4 people.

Enjoy the outdoors this weekend in the many public gardens of Washington, DC, or visit one of the many badass mountain biking trails in Maryland and Virginia. Note that the calendar of events below shows weather for each daypart. If it’s looking dicey, check out the indoor options, including the recently opened House of Birds at the National Zoo. See today’s events below, or plan ahead with our Spring Calendar of DC Events.

Indoor options:

If the weather isn’t cooperating, there’s always something new at the Smithsonian, most notably the newly renovated Air & Space Museum. Or, you can get lost in DC’s newest museum, the three-story homage to language known as Planet Word. Also note that the National Archives underwent a significant renovation about 10 years ago. If that school group visit back in the 1990s is the last time you were there, you should duck in on the next rainy day.
